When Florida State football fans think of 2013, they remember an electrifying national championship season, one punctuated by the Winston-to-Benjamin play that finalized a comeback win over Auburn and nearly look the highest honors in our countdown of the top 100 plays in Seminole history.

When people consider the beginning of 2013, they tend to think of Winston’s breakout performance at Pittsburgh, way back when FSU used to win Labor Day games. But 2013 actually began with a January 1 Orange Bowl trouncing of the sorely overmatched Northern Illinois Huskies. On September 22, the ’Noles will once again meet NIU in Florida, only this time it will be for a home game in Tallahassee, and we now know when that will transpire.

Florida State and Northern Illinois will kickoff from Doak Campbell Stadium that Saturday at 3:30 pm, the first 3:30 kick of the season for FSU. The game will be broadcast on either ESPN, ESPN2, or ESPNU.
