2022 Linebacker Janari Boone hails from Vallejo California and currently plays for the Richmond Steelers Youth Football Team. Boone is a superior player on the field and is evolving into one of the top young and coming athletes in the East Bay.

This past season Boone registered 150 solo tackles making him the top LB in the Nor Cal Snoop Youth Football league. Because of Boone’s dominance on the field he has been offered several post season All Star Game invites.

Our 4.0 Sports Staff recently caught up with Boone at the Nor Cal International Showcase in San Jose California. Boone along with his team had the opportunity to play against teams and players from all over the World. The international Showcase which is directed by Manny Martinez, is comprised of teams from the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.

Boone stated ” This has been a great experience. I feel that I have measured up well with players from all over the World.”

Although Boone is a fierce competitor on the field his performance in the class room has been one of his biggest accomplishments. Registering a 3.2 GPA in the classroom is not easy for student athletes that have the schedule that Boone has. On top of his busy football schedule Boone also trains on weekly bases to better himself as a player.

Boone hopes one day to receive a Scholarship offer from the University of Oregon so that he could full fill his dream of playing football for the Ducks.
